la r\u00e9gion M\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne (Med) sera plus chaude et plus s\u00e8che, avec un contraste saisonnier plus marqu\u00e9.<\/p><p>M\u00eame si le r\u00e9chauffement et la r\u00e9duction du d\u00e9bit des rivi\u00e8res ont des effets antagonistes sur la densit\u00e9 de l&#8217;eau de surface en Med, les simulations sugg\u00e8rent une r\u00e9duction de la circulation dans le futur, l\u2019amplitude du changement restant d\u00e9pendants des mod\u00e8les utilis\u00e9s.<\/p><p>L\u2019objectif du projet MedSens est d\u2019\u00e9valuer la sensibilit\u00e9 de la circulation en Mer Med \u00e0 une perturbation hydrologique\/thermique en condition de climat chaud avec la saisonnalit\u00e9 contrast\u00e9e.<\/p><p>Pour aborder cette probl\u00e9matique, nous combinons les reconstitutions des conditions de la Med durant des \u00e9v\u00e9nements de perturbation de forte amplitude \u00e0 partir de plusieurs proxies (indicateurs\/traceurs) avec des simulations num\u00e9riques obtenues avec un mod\u00e8le r\u00e9gional \u00e0 haute r\u00e9solution spatiale (1\/8\u00ba) int\u00e9grant l\u2019\u00e9volution de certains proxies de circulation.<\/p><p>La cible est orient\u00e9e vers l\u2019analyse des couches s\u00e9dimentaires riches en mati\u00e8res organiques, appel\u00e9es \u00ab\u00a0sapropels\u00a0\u00bb, d\u00e9pos\u00e9es lors de p\u00e9riodes de circulation stagnante en Med. Nous nous int\u00e9ressons particuli\u00e8rement au sapropel S5 form\u00e9 au cours du dernier interglaciaire, une p\u00e9riode chaude pouvant \u00eatre compar\u00e9e au r\u00e9chauffement simul\u00e9 dans un avenir prochaine. La strat\u00e9gie propos\u00e9e s\u2019appuie sur le succ\u00e8s de nos travaux ant\u00e9rieurs sur la reconstitution de la circulation de la Med lors de la formation du sapropel S1 (Holoc\u00e8ne) en utilisant la composition isotopique de n\u00e9odyme (eNd) mesur\u00e9e sur les foraminif\u00e8res, ainsi que par le d\u00e9veloppement d&#8217;une plateforme de mod\u00e9lisation r\u00e9gionale qui permet de simuler les \u00e9tats de la circulation de la Med dans le pass\u00e9.<\/p><p>Les principaux aspects novateurs et originaux du projet MedSens :<br \/>. la combinaison des reconstitutions \u00e0 partir des proxies avec la mod\u00e9lisation r\u00e9gionale int\u00e9grant des proxies (eNd et l&#8217;oxyg\u00e8ne de l\u2019eau) pour \u00e9tudier la circulation dans le pass\u00e9 en Mer Med, qui est unique internationalement. Cette approche permettra une comparaison directe mod\u00e8les-donn\u00e9es pour \u00e9valuer les processus physiques affectant la variabilit\u00e9 des proxies et les performances du mod\u00e8le qui sera utilis\u00e9 pour les projections futures.<\/p><p>. une batterie d\u2019outils multi-proxy (g\u00e9ochimie et micropal\u00e9ontologie, y compris de nouveaux traceurs potentiels) appliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 une s\u00e9rie de carottes de s\u00e9diment localis\u00e9es le long d&#8217;un grand transect zonal afin de proposer une reconstitution robuste.<\/p><p>. l\u2019outil automatis\u00e9 MiSo (Microfossil Sorter prototype, brevet d\u00e9pos\u00e9) permettant la pr\u00e9paration rapide d\u2019\u00e9chantillons de foraminif\u00e8res pour l\u2019analyse g\u00e9ochimique et micropal\u00e9ontologique.
