Ces glaciers sont actuellement en d\u00e9clin mais il est encore difficile de quantifier l&#8217;impact des activit\u00e9s anthropiques sur cette tendance.<\/p><p>L&#8217;un des probl\u00e8mes majeurs de cette quantification est li\u00e9 \u00e0 notre faible connaissance des effets des for\u00e7ages naturels sur l&#8217;\u00e9volution des glaciers. L&#8217;objectif principal de ce LIA est de se concentrer sur l&#8217;une des composantes environnementales majeures de cette r\u00e9gion : les glaciers.<\/p><p>Le but sp\u00e9cifique de ce projet est de documenter l&#8217;\u00e9volution des glaciers du Grand Caucase depuis au moins 21 000 ans et d&#8217;analyser les effets des for\u00e7ages naturels sur leur \u00e9volution.<\/p><p>Ce projet est bas\u00e9 sur diff\u00e9rentes m\u00e9thodes (g\u00e9omorphologie glaciaire, reconstructions pal\u00e9oclimatiques \u00e0 partir de donn\u00e9es de substitution et mod\u00e9lisation des glaciers) qui justifient le consortium propos\u00e9.<\/p><p>Pour atteindre les objectifs de DEGLAC, notre projet est organis\u00e9 en diff\u00e9rentes t\u00e2ches:<\/p><p>. Quantifier l&#8217;\u00e9volution actuelle du bilan de masse des glaciers par t\u00e9l\u00e9d\u00e9tection et une approche statistique qui prend en compte les composantes temporelles et spatiales.<\/p><p>. Documenter l&#8217;\u00e9volution des glaciers depuis au moins 21 000 ans en datant les caract\u00e9ristiques des glaciers par datation cosmog\u00e9nique (<sup>10<\/sup>Be).<\/p><p>. Reconstituer les conditions climatiques d&#8217;altitude \u00e0 partir d&#8217;une analyse multi proxies et d&#8217;une mod\u00e9lisation glaciologique.<\/p><p>. Mener une analyse des for\u00e7ages naturels en testant notamment le r\u00f4le de l&#8217;insolation, de l&#8217;activit\u00e9 volcanique, des courants solaires et oc\u00e9aniques sur l&#8217;\u00e9volution des glaciers du Grand Caucase.
