L\u2019analyse de ces plaquettes retrouv\u00e9es dans les s\u00e9diments permet d\u2019estimer certains facteurs environnementaux (lumi\u00e8re, CO2). Un code stand-alone python a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 pour simuler diff\u00e9rents sc\u00e9narios de production de coccolithes par les coccolithophores, afin de mieux comprendre les facteurs qui contr\u00f4lent la distribution de la taille des coccolithes dans une population. La d\u00e9finition de la r\u00e9solution de cette fen\u00eatre impacte sur le r\u00e9sultat des estimations de densit\u00e9 de fractures : si la taille est grande, les variations de densit\u00e9s ne seront pas d\u00e9tect\u00e9es car moyenn\u00e9es; si la taille est petite, les variations de densit\u00e9 seront \u00e9parses et non significatives. Il est ainsi difficile de d\u00e9finir une taille optimale, tout sp\u00e9cialement dans le cas de fortes variations locales de densit\u00e9 de fractures comme cela est le cas pour les couloirs de fractures. Ainsi, il est propos\u00e9 une m\u00e9thode qui repose sur l\u2019\u00e9tude de la d\u00e9rive de la courbe cumul\u00e9e des rangs de fractures coupl\u00e9e avec un test d\u2019hypoth\u00e8se et une classification. Des mod\u00e8les 3D haute-r\u00e9solution ont \u00e9t\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par le le LAM \u00e0 partir des photos de la mission Rosetta. Ces mod\u00e8les nous permettent une analyse de la structure du noyau de la com\u00e8te afin d\u2019expliquer son origine bilob\u00e9e et son devenir par le biais de jeu de faille dans le cou de la com\u00e8te.
