Cependant, nous ne savons toujours pas si le r\u00e9tr\u00e9cissement actuel des glaciers est sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent dans l&#8217;histoire g\u00e9ologique r\u00e9cente.<\/p><p>Dans ce contexte, NEOGREEN se concentrera sur deux zones libres de glace dans l&#8217;ouest du Groenland qui peuvent fournir des donn\u00e9es essentielles sur le sch\u00e9ma spatio-temporel des avanc\u00e9es et des reculs glaciaires depuis le d\u00e9but du N\u00e9oglaciaire (4 derniers ka) : les marges occidentales du GrIS et une calotte glaciaire p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique. On y trouve de nombreux enregistrements glaciaires, notamment des moraines, des surfaces polies et des blocs erratiques, qui peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour reconstituer les phases glaciaires pass\u00e9es. Dans ce but, nous appliquerons sur chaque site une approche de datation multiple combinant des techniques de datation absolue (exposition aux rayons cosmiques, OSL) et relative (marteau de Schmidt, lich\u00e9nom\u00e9trie).<\/p><p>Nous comparerons nos r\u00e9sultats sur la dynamique glaciaire pass\u00e9e avec les images satellites et a\u00e9riennes disponibles, les anciennes photos et les donn\u00e9es glaciologiques afin de d\u00e9terminer si le r\u00e9cent retrait glaciaire dans l&#8217;ouest du Groenland constitue une r\u00e9ponse amplifi\u00e9e du changement climatique en cours dans l&#8217;Arctique ou s&#8217;inscrit dans la variabilit\u00e9 climatique naturelle de la r\u00e9gion. Les changements r\u00e9cents du paysage dans les terrains nouvellement expos\u00e9s \u00e0 la suite du retrait glaciaire seront \u00e9galement examin\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;aide d&#8217;analyses de t\u00e9l\u00e9d\u00e9tection et de donn\u00e9es de terrain afin de d\u00e9voiler le r\u00f4le du climat et du temps sur la colonisation de la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation et la formation du sol.
