\"\"Every year for the past 19 years, CEREGE (the European Centre for Research and Education in Environmental Geosciences) has opened its doors and its science to schoolchildren and the general public free of charge to mark the F\u00eate de la Science, which will take place in France from 6 to 16 October 2023.<\/em><\/p>\n

Its Science Village at the Technopole de l'Arbois<\/strong>
\nOn Thursday 12 October 2023, the Village des Sciences de l'Arbois, the largest grouping of laboratories working in the field of environmental sciences, will host 40 workshops and 3 conferences for more than 600 primary school children from the southern region, thanks to the involvement of around a hundred researchers, teacher-researchers, technicians, engineers, managers, staff from the Technop\u00f4le de l'Arbois and many players in regional scientific communication.<\/p>\n

\nThis year, the village is extended on Saturday 7 October 2023 at the media library in La Roque d'Anth\u00e9ron<\/strong>, In the south of Luberon, with workshops and conferences on the theme of \u00abWater: a living resource\u00bb.

2023: Science and sport as a national theme<\/strong>
\nWhat does it mean to be a researcher, what is his or her life and daily routine? What makes their research qualitative? What makes the difference?
\nResearch is often portrayed in lab coats, with test tubes, analysis and studious reflection, far removed from the image of the trained explorer. Yet very often, the researcher has to reach the inaccessible and swaps his lab coat for the hyper-technical equipment of the explorer.
\nIn environmental geosciences, we need to be prepared for the many challenges that lie ahead.
\nThose involved in research at CEREGE bear witness to this in this focus<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nThe Village des Sciences de l'Arbois is also supported by the Aix-Marseille Provence metropolitan authority, the EN ECCOREV<\/strong> and the Southern Region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
