Prince Albert II visited the Monaco Embassy in Paris to hand over the medals for the Grand Prix des Sciences et de la Mer Albert 1er for the years 2022 and 2023.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><p>For 2022, the jury awarded the prize to the Conservatoire du littoral et des rivages lacustres, represented by its director, Agn\u00e8s Vince.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\"><p>For 2023, <strong>the winner is Professor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/en\/cerege\/edward-anthony\/\">Edward Anthony<\/a>,<\/strong> Professor of Physical Geography at the University of Aix-Marseille, CEREGE Earth and Planets team.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\"><div dir=\"auto\">In the presence of Rector Alain Miossec, chairman of the jury and Emeritus Professor of Geography at the University of Nantes, and Jean-Robert Pitte, member of the Institute and President of the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de G\u00e9ographie, H.S.H. the Prince paid tribute to Professor Anthony's rich career in a wide range of fields, including oceanography, geomorphology, sedimentology, ecology and the development of coastal and marine
