The aim of the \"Women in science careers: why not me?\" project is to make career guidance a real lever for equal opportunities.\u00a0<\/p>

Through visits, meetings and initiatives with its scientific partners, it aims to combat self-censorship and encourage young girls to aspire to higher education. <\/p>

More broadly, it opens the door to scientific fields that are sometimes unfamiliar, demonstrates that scientific careers are accessible to people with modest levels of education, and also provides an opportunity to reflect on the position of women in the scientific world of work.<\/p>

Organised by the Acad\u00e9mie Aix-Marseille, the visit to CEREGE in 2023 gave students from the Andr\u00e9 Ailhaud secondary school in Volx the opportunity to find out about careers in science through the careers of women scientists at CEREGE (Centre de Recherche et d'Enseignement des G\u00e9osciences de l'Environnement).\u00a0<\/p>

The operation was repeated this year on Thursday 30 May 2024 with teachers from Andr\u00e9 Ailhaud secondary school.<\/p>

The programme includes a presentation of<\/strong> of the CEREGE laboratory<\/strong> by Alain V\u00e9ron (CR CNRS), a interactive presentation of Women in Science<\/strong> by Anne Alexandre (DR CNRS) and Sophie Viseur (IR AMU), the visit to analytical platforms<\/strong> MATRIX<\/strong> with Perrine Chaurand, Sustainable Environment team and Micropalaeontological preparations<\/strong> with Sandrine Conrod, Climate team.<\/p>
