Edouard Bard<\/a>professor at the Chair in Climate and Ocean Evolution<\/a> at Coll\u00e8ge de France<\/a> and a member of CEREGE, was recently elected to the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina<\/a>Germany's prestigious National Academy of Sciences.<\/strong><\/p>

Founded in 1652, the Leopoldina is one of the oldest scientific institutions in the world, with a mission to address crucial scientific issues of societal significance. The Academy is recognised for its independence, scientific rigour and forward-looking recommendations on major issues, both nationally and internationally.<\/p>

Edouard Bard joins a list of eminent scientists and continues to gain recognition from the world's leading scientific bodies. He is already a member of the Acad\u00e9mie des Sciences (Institut de France), the Academia Europaea, the US National Academy of Sciences and the Royal Academy of Belgium.<\/p>
