CEREGE Master's Degrees

The SET Master's has been transformed into STPE, and will include more from Autumn 2018. Students wishing to enrol at the University of Aix-Marseille for the 2018 Academic Year will be able to apply for two Master's programmes run by OSU Pytheas:

Master's Degree in Earth Sciences, Planets, Environment (STPE)

Master's in Earth and Planet Sciences, the Environment (STPE)

For training in the areas of resources, climate and environment, with three specialisations:

  • Hydrogeology
  • Geology of Reservoirs
  • Environmental Geosciences

Master's in Environmental Management (GeE)

- Water Science course (formerly Aquatic Management of the SET Master's): General Master's in Hydrobiology, surface water and groundwater, environmental chemistry.

- Territorial Management course in Natural and Technological Risks - GERINAT (formerly GERINAT of the SET Masters'): Specialised Masters' Course in Risks.

- Environmental management, evaluation and analysis course - Environmental Sciences and Technologies (MAEVA-STE)

A multi-disciplinary course dealing with the environment: geosciences, biodiversity, chemistry, global changes through research and scientific management.

The aim of this course is to combine the development of high-level expertise in a discipline with a multi-disciplinary approach to environmental issues. In September 2018 this became: STPE Master's and GeE Master's.

 

 

 

Objectives of the Master's Course

With regard to research, the aim of the STPE Master's Courseis to train high-level researchers, who are capable of creating and leading in-depth research projects about the fundamental processes that govern environments and natural and anthropogenic continental ecosystems.

For vocational training, the course aims to train senior executives and senior engineers, specialising in the sustainable and responsible management of continental environments and ecosystems. At the end of the course, students will be able to intervene in the natural, agricultural, urban and industrial environment, particularly the management of various resources (water, mineral resources, alternative energy resources, soil, waste, biodiversity).

Finally, the Master's Course also prepares candidates for CAPES in Life and Earth Sciences.
