C\u00e9l\u00e8brement surnomm\u00e9es le &#8220;ch\u00e2teau d&#8217;eau de l&#8217;Europe&#8221;, les Alpes h\u00e9bergent la majorit\u00e9 des sources de grands fleuves comme le Danube, Rhin, P\u00f4 et le Rh\u00f4ne. Bien que fortement influenc\u00e9e par les activit\u00e9s humaines, la ressource en eau sur le continent repose \u00e9galement sur la variabilit\u00e9 hydro-climatique affectant le cycle de l&#8217;eau \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9chelle euro-m\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne.<\/p><p>Le projet Hydro-ALPS vise \u00e0 fournir des enregistrements \u00e0 long terme des changements hydrologiques et de l\u2019\u00e9rosion associ\u00e9e pour la p\u00e9riode pr\u00e9-instrumentale. Le projet s&#8217;appuiera sur les isotopes de l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne et du silicium de diatom\u00e9es extraites de s\u00e9diments lacustres utilis\u00e9s comme traceurs des conditions hydrologiques et de l&#8217;alt\u00e9ration chimique du socle cristallin. L&#8217;\u00e9tude se concentrera sur la partie sud des Alpes situ\u00e9e dans le bassin m\u00e9diterran\u00e9en, qui est l&#8217;une des r\u00e9gions du monde qui devrait \u00eatre la plus touch\u00e9e par le changement climatique.
