Au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, notre \u00e9quipe a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 un <strong>outil original de reconstruction<\/strong> de l\u2019<strong>\u00e9vaporatio<\/strong>n au sein du cycle de l\u2019eau et, <em>in fine<\/em>, de l<strong>\u2019humidit\u00e9 relative atmosph\u00e9rique pass\u00e9e<\/strong>, un param\u00e8tre cl\u00e9 du syst\u00e8me climatique (projet ANR HUMI-17, port\u00e9 par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/fr\/cerege\/anne-alexandre\/\">Anne Alexandre<\/a>). Cette m\u00e9thode se base sur l\u2019<strong>analyse de la triple composition isotopique de l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne<\/strong> (17O-excess), dont les processus de variation au sein des diff\u00e9rents compartiments du cycle de l\u2019eau (vapeur, pr\u00e9cipitations, sols, plantes) et des <strong>phytolithes<\/strong> ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9finis en milieux contr\u00f4l\u00e9s, naturels et mod\u00e9lis\u00e9s. Le r\u00e9cent projet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/fr\/sciences\/climat\/projets-climat\/diat-17\/\">DIAT-17<\/a> (LEFE-INSU, 2022-2023), port\u00e9 par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/fr\/cerege\/anne-alexandre\/\">Anne Alexandre<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/fr\/cerege\/florence-sylvestre\/\">Florence Sylvestre<\/a>, a pour objectif d\u2019\u00e9valuer le potentiel de l\u2019analyse du 1<strong>7O-excess des diatom\u00e9e<\/strong>s afin de reconstituer l\u2019<strong>amplitude de l\u2019\u00e9vaporation des eaux lacustres<\/strong>. Le projet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/fr\/sciences\/climat\/projets-climat\/anr-past-17\/\">ANR PAST-17<\/a>, financ\u00e9 en 2022 et port\u00e9 par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/fr\/cerege\/anne-alexandre\/\">Anne Alexandre<\/a>, utilise les calibrations n\u00e9es des projets pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents pour reconstituer les <strong>hydroclimats pass\u00e9s<\/strong> \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9chelles de temps, en <strong>zone intertropicale et m\u00e9diterran\u00e9enne<\/strong>, en interaction avec les changements de v\u00e9g\u00e9tation et l\u2019impact de l\u2019homme. Cette direction de recherche est renforc\u00e9e par le recrutement r\u00e9cent de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/fr\/cerege\/julie-aleman\/\">Julie Aleman<\/a> (CR CNRS, 2022), \u00e9cologue qui utilise le <strong>17O-excess des phytolithes<\/strong> pour <strong>d\u00e9coupler le signal de la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation, du climat et de l\u2019homme<\/strong> dans les archives quaternaires. <br \/>Le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/fr\/sciences\/climat\/projets-climat\/the-wao-project\/\">projet WAO<\/a> (financement AFALULA), port\u00e9 par <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/fr\/cerege\/pierre-deschamps\/\">Pierre Deschamps<\/a>, vise \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la compr\u00e9hension du <strong>fonctionnement hydrologique de l&#8217;aquif\u00e8re du Saq<\/strong> dans la r\u00e9gion d&#8217;Al Ula (Arabie Saoudite) afin de tendre vers une <strong>gestion durable<\/strong> de cette ressource essentielle pour le <strong>d\u00e9veloppement socio-\u00e9conomique et agricole<\/strong> de cette oasis. Cette th\u00e9matique des cycles hydrologiques en zones semi-arides \u00e0 arides est \u00e9galement renforc\u00e9e par la mise en place du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cerege.fr\/fr\/sciences\/climat\/projets-climat\/lmi-viabeleaux\/\">LMI Viabeleaux<\/a> (2020-2024) au <strong>Tchad<\/strong>, port\u00e9 par <a
