Cela passe par des \u00e9tudes pal\u00e9o et arch\u00e9o-magn\u00e9tiques (en direction et en intensit\u00e9) de coul\u00e9es de lave, terres cuites arch\u00e9ologiques ou encore s\u00e9ries s\u00e9dimentaires.<\/p><p>Comprendre le fonctionnement de la g\u00e9odynamo n\u00e9cessite en effet une description fine des variations temporelles et spatiales du champ magn\u00e9tique terrestre. Nous caract\u00e9risons ces variations \u00e0 plusieurs \u00e9chelles\u00a0: du Ma au millier d\u2019ann\u00e9es, de l\u2019\u00e9chantillon aux sources lithosph\u00e9riques. <br \/><br \/>Nos travaux r\u00e9cents se concentrent sur\u00a0:<\/p><p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 l\u2019\u00e9tude pal\u00e9omagn\u00e9tique et arch\u00e9o-magn\u00e9tique d\u2019\u00e9chantillons provenant de zones peu repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es dans les bases de donn\u00e9es mondiales<\/p><p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 la haute r\u00e9solution de la variation s\u00e9culaire du CMT pendant le dernier million d\u2019ann\u00e9es gr\u00e2ce au couplage entre pal\u00e9omagn\u00e9tisme et concentration en 10Be de carottes de s\u00e9diments<\/p><p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 l\u2019\u00e9tude des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s magn\u00e9tiques d\u2019\u00e9chantillons de roches et s\u00e9diments\u00a0: application arch\u00e9ologique (f\u00fbts de colonnes antiques en granite) et g\u00e9ologique (magn\u00e9tostratigraphie)<\/p><p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 la mod\u00e9lisation g\u00e9ologique num\u00e9rique contrainte par les donn\u00e9es de champ magn\u00e9tique et de mesures magn\u00e9tiques sur \u00e9chantillons<\/p><p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 la prospection g\u00e9ophysique sur sites arch\u00e9ologiques et\/ou g\u00e9ologiques<\/p><p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 l\u2019\u00e9tude de l\u2019influence des conditions thermodynamiques sur l\u2019aimantation des roches\u00a0: exp\u00e9rience unique de mesures d\u2019\u00e9chantillons sous pressions
