Tout comme l\u2019histoire nous renseigne sur les comportements humains,\u00a0les pal\u00e9oclimats<\/strong>\u00a0nous renseignent sur la nature des changements climatiques terrestres. N\u00e9es du besoin de comprendre le pr\u00e9sent ainsi que les m\u00e9canismes physiques, chimiques et biologiques qui r\u00e9gissent notre plan\u00e8te, les sciences \u00abpal\u00e9o\u00bb, comme on les appelle parfois, explorent la profondeur du temps indissociable des sciences de la plan\u00e8te et de la vie.<\/p>

Cette soir\u00e9e illustrera comment\u00a0les changements des oc\u00e9ans, de l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re et des glaces et l\u2019\u00e9volution de la biosph\u00e8re<\/strong>\u00a0ont interagi au cours de l\u2019histoire de la Terre. Elle s\u2019int\u00e9ressera enfin \u00e0 mieux appr\u00e9hender l\u2019\u00e9volution future du climat et des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes en r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 l\u2019augmentation des concentrations atmosph\u00e9riques des gaz \u00e0 effet de serre.<\/p>
