Par l&#8217;\u00e9tude des variations de pression de l\u2019air dans cette grotte, nous pouvons calculer le volume de vides connect\u00e9s et le taux de renouvellement de l\u2019air. De plus nous estimons la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;air du massif rocheux karstique, une mesure rarement r\u00e9alisable in situ, et expliquons pourquoi le niveau de l\u2019eau reste sous le niveau de la mer.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>La conservation des grottes orn\u00e9es d\u00e9pend fortement des flux d&#8217;air dans le r\u00e9seau karstique et \u00e0 travers la roche environnante. Les flux d&#8217;air sont r\u00e9gis par le gradient de pression et influenc\u00e9s par la forme des conduits karstiques et la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 du massif de roches carbonat\u00e9es.<\/p><p>La grotte Cosquer est une grotte orn\u00e9e du pal\u00e9olithique sup\u00e9rieur, \u00e0 moiti\u00e9 submerg\u00e9e dans un karst c\u00f4tier, o\u00f9 la conservation d\u00e9pend \u00e9galement des niveaux d\u2019eau reli\u00e9s \u00e0 la mer.<\/p><p>Les donn\u00e9es hydroclimatiques, telles que la pression et la temp\u00e9rature de l&#8217;air et le niveau de l&#8217;eau \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur et \u00e0 l&#8217;ext\u00e9rieur de la grotte, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 mesur\u00e9es pendant plusieurs ann\u00e9es afin d&#8217;identifier les principaux processus r\u00e9gissant les variations du niveau de l&#8217;eau, les flux d&#8217;air et le renouvellement de l&#8217;air. Les donn\u00e9es montrent un comportement inhabituel pour un karst : la pression de l&#8217;air dans le karst est presque toujours sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 la pression atmosph\u00e9rique.<\/p><p>Par cons\u00e9quent, le niveau de l&#8217;eau dans la grotte est inf\u00e9rieur au niveau de la mer. Les variations quotidiennes de la mar\u00e9e permettent d&#8217;\u00e9valuer le volume de la grotte au-dessus du niveau de l&#8217;eau. Bien que l&#8217;air de la grotte soit confin\u00e9 par la roche et l&#8217;eau de mer, il y a \u00e9galement des entr\u00e9es d&#8217;air externes lors de courts \u00e9v\u00e9nements de pressurisation li\u00e9s aux vagues qui peuvent produire et forcer des bulles d&#8217;air \u00e0 s&#8217;\u00e9couler le long des fissures ouvertes sous-marines ou des conduits karstiques \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur du massif.<\/p><p>De plus, la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 effective des roches carbonat\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;air \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9chelle du massif est d\u00e9duite de la diminution de la pression de l&#8217;air dans la grotte au cours de la saison estivale en appliquant la loi de Darcy dans un milieu partiellement satur\u00e9.<\/p><p>Six ann\u00e9es de donn\u00e9es montrent que la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 varie d&#8217;une ann\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#8217;autre et en fonction des pr\u00e9cipitations cumul\u00e9es au cours du printemps et de l&#8217;\u00e9t\u00e9. Les ann\u00e9es les plus s\u00e8ches sont corr\u00e9l\u00e9es avec une perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e, une diminution plus rapide de la pression de l&#8217;air dans la grotte et une augmentation plus rapide du niveau d&#8217;eau.<\/p><p>\u00c0 l&#8217;avenir, dans le contexte du changement climatique, une perturbation de la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 de la roche est donc attendue dans les grottes proches de la surface, ce qui aura un impact sur les flux d&#8217;air dans les grottes orn\u00e9es et pourrait alt\u00e9rer leur fragile stabilit\u00e9 hydroclimatique.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-563e053a elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"563e053a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-151b9e16 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"151b9e16\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div><div><p>Pellet, H., Arfib, B., Henry, P., Touron, S., and Gassier, G.: Mesoscale permeability variations estimated from natural airflows in the decorated Cosquer Cave (southeastern France), Hydrol.
