Bram Vaes

Bram is a CNRS researcher in the Climate team at CEREGE, where he investigates the links between paleogeography, climate, and mammal dispersal in the Cenozoic, under the ERC Consolidator Project DISPERSAL, led by Alexis Licht. He completed his PhD at Utrecht University (2023), where he developed new statistical approaches to paleomagnetism, resulting in a new paleomagnetic reference frame. Before joining CEREGE, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Milano-Bicocca, studying how paleogeography and geodynamics impacted Cenozoic greenhouse climates.
