Je suis Professeur des Universités à Aix Marseille Université (AMU) avec le CEREGE (Equipe CLIMAT, https://www.cerege.fr/fr/recherche/climat) comme laboratoire de rattachement. Je suis actuellement responsable du Master STPE (https://masters.osupytheas.fr/) et j’interviens également dans les enseignements de la Licence SVT , Parcours Terre et Mer.

Depuis mes travaux de doctorat/post-doctorat (université de Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris VI / MARUM, Brême Allemagne), j’exerce mes compétences dans le domaine de la paléoclimatologie, de la paléocéanographie et de la paléohydrologie continentale. Pour cela, je me suis spécialisée dans l’analyse des isotopes de l’oxygène et du carbone des carbonates. J’applique cette technique géochimique à des archives climatiques (principalement des carottes marines et continentales). Mes travaux visent à mieux comprendre les interactions entre la variabilité climatique en milieu océanique, atmosphérique et continental via l’acquisition de données sur différents types d’archives climatiques pour une même zone, la comparaison données instrumentales/données paléoclimatiques/modèles, l’amélioration de la calibration des proxies (paléo)climatiques) en vue de reconstitutions quantitatives des paramètres climatiques et des cycles hydrologiques depuis le dernier maximum glaciaire jusqu’aux périodes récentes (derniers siècles). Actuellement, je suis investie dans la mise en œuvre de projets pédagogiques au niveau Master et dans deux chantiers de recherche (hydro-systèmes lacustres Moyen Atlas Marocain et l’analyse de foraminifères individuels du Pacifique Est tropical).

Projets pédagogiques

  • 2018-2020 : PI projet Académie d’Excellence A*MIDEX- AMU –INternational and Innovative Course in Environmental Sciences - INdICES - (76 k€) : partenariat international au niveau Master en sciences de l’environnement « du terrain au laboratoire » dédié à la conduite de projets d’étude environnementale. Le projet coordonne 3 paires de partenariats internationaux au sein des Master STPE, BEE et GE de l’OSU-PYTHEAS.
  • 2019-2022 : Partenariat Stratégique Erasmus + (Projet CLIMAST) (PI L. VIDAL, AMU (Coordinateur), Univ. Barcelone, Univ. Salento) (203 k€- : mise en place d’un réseau européen au niveau Master pour le développement de compétences disciplinaires et transverses en sciences du climat (approfondissement disciplinaires et conduite d’atelier interdisciplinaire à l’interface avec les sciences humaines et la société civile).

 

Chantiers de recherche en cours :

-Reconstitutions de la variabilité hydrologique récentes et au cours des derniers millénaires à partir de l’étude des lacs d’altitude du Moyen Atlas Marocain

Ce projet propose une étude intégrée des fonctionnements hydrogéochimique et hydro-isotopique du lac karstique Azigza situé dans le Moyen Atlas marocain afin de mieux contraindre les mécanismes hydrologiques qui régissent la variabilité du niveau du lac en relation avec le climat actuel et passé. Pour cela, nous avons réalisé la mise en place d’un suivi pluri-annuel hydro-météorologique du site d’étude (mensuel et journalier), un travail d’acquisition de données physico-chimiques et isotopiques des échantillons lacustres, de représentation précise des propriétés géomorphologiques du lac, en parallèle de l’élaboration d’un modèle hydro-isotopique. Nous avons également effectué un carottage des sédiments lacustres et proposé une reconstitution de la variabilité hydrologique du site à partir de l’analyse géochimique des sédiments pour la période du dernier siècle.

-Etude de la variabilité passée du phénomène El-Nino / ENSO à partir de l’analyse isotopique des foraminifères individuels

Au laboratoire d’analyse des isotopes stables, nous travaillons sur le développement de nouveaux traceurs isotopiques quantitatifs de paramètres climatiques clés pour la compréhension des changements climatiques. Nous nous focalisons en particulier sur la mesure de la composition isotopique de l’oxygène (d18O) de coquilles individuelles de zooplancton calcaire afin de reconstituer les variations de température océanique de surface et sub-surface, un traceur du phénomène ENSO. L’originalité de l’approche repose sur l’analyse répétée du d18O des coquilles individuelles de très petites tailles. Ces résultats permettent des reconstitutions de l’ENSO pour différentes fenêtres temporelles du passé récent et plus lointain (certaines périodes anciennes pouvant servir d’analogue au climat actuel). In fine ces reconstitutions seront utilisables pour proposer des mécanismes de changement climatique et valider les modèles climatiques par des comparaisons modèles-données.
