Titre : Contraindre la variabilité spatiale et temporelle du glissement au cours du cycle sismique de l’échelle du mois à celle du million d’années.

Le lien entre le glissement sismique et la formation des reliefs est encore mal contraint. La façon dont les déformations s’accomodent dans la crôute, sous l’effet du mouvement des plaques tectoniques, affecte grandement le cycle sismique et exerce un contrôle sur le déclenchement des séismes et la distribution spatiale des ruptures sismiques. Les Apennins, site de la séquence sismique de 2016 (5 chocs de Mw5 à 6.5 en 9 mois), est une région unique pour étudier la façon dont le glissement sismique s’accumule sur des échelles spatiales et temporelles allant de l’année au million d’années et du mètre à la centaine de km. Nous allons combiner plusieurs méthodes de pointe que nous maîtrisons et développerons dans le cadre de ce projet en géochronologie du Quaternaire, imagerie, geodésie, géophysique, topographie haute résolution, modèles d’aléa sismique probabiliste, pour contraindre les différentes portions du cycle sismique jusqu’à l’échelle de la formation des reliefs.
