Partner events

CEREGE works closely with Aix-Marseille University's scientific culture unit, as well as with the communications departments of CNRS Provence-Corse and IRD Sud-Est, to share its geoscience research and make it accessible to as many people as possible.

With the aim of responding to major contemporary issues, the laboratory also takes part in a number of events for the general public: conferences, debates, popularisation events, etc., all providing opportunities for collective reflection and dialogue with society.

European Researchers' Night

Every year, European Researchers' Night offers a unique opportunity for scientists and the general public to meet. In a warm, subdued atmosphere, researchers talk to young and old alike, through interactive workshops, mini-conferences, fun formats such as speed-searching, and many other surprises.

The Souk des Sciences is an ephemeral, festive science market designed to arouse the curiosity of everyone. Through interactive experiments and convivial exchanges, the researchers invite you to discover their objects of study and explore the world of science in a different way.

My thesis in 180 seconds

Aimed at doctoral students, the My Thesis in 180 seconds competition gives them the opportunity to present their research topic in a clear and captivating way to a non-specialist audience. In just three minutes, each participant must rise to the challenge of making his or her project understandable, lively and punchy.

Café des Sciences

The Café des Sciences is a forum open to all, where scientists and the general public can engage in a vital dialogue. Whether you're curious, passionate or just a novice, everyone is invited to debate and reflect on major scientific issues in a friendly atmosphere.

Thirteen Minutes Marseille

Treize Minutes and Treize Minutes Jeunes Chercheurs are mini-conference formats that give each speaker a limited amount of time to share their passion for science. In thirteen minutes, researchers and young researchers present their subject in an accessible and dynamic way, to arouse the public's curiosity.

Hyperbaric pressure

The OSU Institut Pythéas and the NGO Surfrider Foundation Méditerranée are joining forces to organise a series of Science Bars every first Tuesday of the month from April to July. These friendly get-togethers take place at the Brasserie Zoumaï and invite the public to discuss today's scientific and environmental issues.
