Vidal Laurence

I am a University Professor at Aix Marseille University. I am currently in charge of the Master STPE (https://masters.osupytheas.fr/) and I am also involved in the teaching of the Licence SVT, Parcours Terre et Mer.

In the CEREGE Climate team, I work in the field of palaeoclimatology and specialise in the analysis of oxygen and carbon isotopes in carbonates. I apply this geochemical technique to climate archives in order to reconstruct the hydrological cycles of the last millennia. I am developing research in continental palaeoceanography and palaeohydrology. More recently, I have been studying the dynamics of microplastics in the Bay of Marseille. I am also involved in international teaching projects aimed at integrating climate and environmental issues into university curricula.
