My work focuses on the processes influencing the reactivity at the living/(nano)mineral interfaces in relation to physicochemical and structural properties, (bio)transformation, (bio)degradation, (bio)distribution and toxicity. I put this knowledge at the service of therisk assessment for Man and the Environment associated with emerging technologies and the development of innovative, high-performance, more sustainable and safe nanomaterials.

This requires an interdisciplinary approach (crystallochemistry, physical chemistry, microbiology, toxicology, process engineering, data science), the use of tip characterisation techniques in terms of spatial resolution, energy, and detection limits, and the development of experimental devices and databases adapted.
