Our socio-economic partnerships
Research at CEREGE responds to major societal challenges: climate change, management of water, soil and raw material resources, human impact on ecosystems and environmental transition.
The laboratory benefits from a international influence thanks to its strategic policies and innovative scientific themes. It stands out for the quality of its interactions with the non-academic world, with certified equipment Aix-Marseille Technology Platform (AMU-CNRS-INSERM) accessible to socio-economic partners.
CEREGE works with start-ups (e.g. Hymag'in), the SMES (e.g. ALLIOS, IPSEN) and major groups (e.g. EDF, TotalEnergies, OCP). These partnerships make it possible to :
develop new processes and methodologies,
create technological advances on issues such as the circular economy,
accompany doctoral theses funded by the partners or via CIFRE grants.
TotalEnergies is a major partner, with projects on the energy transition and major global issues. EDF is working with CEREGE on cosmonuclide tracing, the sedimentary functioning of the Buech, seismic risk and the nuclear industry (in partnership with CEA and IRSN).
Over the last 5 years, CEREGE has signed the following agreements 27 cooperation contracts with industrial partners for a total of more than €8m, These include carbonates, cosmonuclides, industrial risks, nano-materials, recyclability of waste and water, natural hazards, etc.
A strategic location
The laboratory is located on the Arbois Méditerranée environmental technology cluster, a site dedicated to environmental innovation that brings together 110 companies, 2 incubators and 6 competitiveness clusters. This location enables CEREGE to weave a network of close links with companies and strengthen its innovation drive.
