I have been an engineer in the 'Climate and Ocean Evolution' chair at the Collège de France since 2010, and work in the organic, inorganic and isotopic geochemistry laboratory (LGO2i). I am responsible for liquid chromatography (HPLC) analyses of organic compounds in sediments, and pretreatments for radiocarbon (14C) measurements using accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS). I develop carbon purification protocols upstream of isotopic analyses and train students and post-docs in methods and equipment. My research focuses in particular on the measurement of very low mass carbonate samples (< 100 µg of carbon) and on the development of protocols for purifying specific organic molecules by HPLC prior to radiocarbon analyses.
