As an international multidisciplinary research and teaching centre and a centre of excellence in terms of human and technical resources, CEREGE covers almost the entire field of environmental geosciences.
By joining forces with other major national and international research structures and with industrial and technological players, CEREGE is now a centre of excellence in the field of geosciences.
CEREGE provides the academic and industrial scientific community with a range of high-tech resources.
CEREGE's teaching covers the entire spectrum of training in Earth and environmental sciences, from undergraduate to doctoral level.
Through the dissemination of its scientific communication, CEREGE aims to establish a permanent dialogue between science, research and the general public, especially the younger generation.
My research involves measuring and monitoring the responses of surface environments to anthropogenic disturbances. This monitoring enables me to understand the mechanisms associated with the reactivity of contaminants in the geosphere and biosphere. I use metallic and isotopic markers to trace the sources and transfer dynamics of contaminants. I am developing multidisciplinary research (geochemistry, biology, medicine, ecology, archaeology) into (i) the imprint of toxic metals on the biosphere and (ii) the relationships between changes in natural environments (climate, resources) and urban societies (economic and political resilience). I apply this interdisciplinarity to the dissemination of science, teaching through research in a CIVIS network, as Scientific Culture Officer at CEREGE, and at the Académie des Sciences, Agriculture, Arts et Belles Lettres (Aix en Provence).
