Centre for Innovation and Research in Environment and Eco-technologies (CIRENE)

Contacts

The Centre for Innovation and Research in Environment and Eco-technologies (CIRENE) brings together, within a technological hall located on the Arbois site, experimental devices, pilot and semi-pilot scale prototypes and instrumental developments, such as a high-energy micro-XRF spectrometer.

CIRENE represents a unique experimental pole within our community in Environmental Sciences applied to environmental transition and circular economy issues.

CIRENE studies the behaviour of innovative materials throughout their life cycle, the environmental risks associated with new technologies, the optimisation of the use of water resources, the valorisation of waste (critical metals) and the storage of carbon in soils.

CIRENE is open for business regional and national organisations developing work on the Circular Economy.

Indeed, the technology hall can accommodate experimental pilots and devices developed by associations, SMEs and VSEs in connection with CEREGE via scientific and technological collaborations.
