A very satisfactory term of office!

On Thursday 14 December 2023, the CEREGE General Meeting was held to mark the end of the terms of office of Olivier Bellier (Director), Jérôme Gattacceca (Deputy Director) and Sandrine Magnetto (Administrative Director) for the period from 2018 to the end of 2023.

This five-year mandate, extended because of COVID, will have been a journey rich in achievements, twists and turns and well-deserved successes for all the staff.

The deaths of great scientists and personalities have also been a source of hardship: Didier Bourles, Maurice Taïeb, Jérôme Balesdent.

The reorganisation of CEREGE and its teams has proved its worth, resources have been pooled, new staff have been promoted and recruited, the health crisis has been overcome with the introduction of teleworking, new communication tools have been introduced, such as a website for cross-disciplinary governance that is open to the outside world, teams have been set up, not to mention the creation of numerous new units:

. Doctoral students' committee
. Health and safety
. Communication Unit
. Green cell
. Parity Unit
. Conservation of scientific collections unit (CS3)

Mandate honoured by a HCERES 2023 report edifying:

CEREGE's scientific reputation gives it undisputed recognition and attractiveness at both national and international level, as demonstrated by its recent success in national and European calls for projects and the recruitment of researchers.”
