The Geophysics and Petrography platform is part of the Earth and Planets.
She supports scientific projects mainly in planetology (dynamics of the terrestrial magnetic field, crustal magnetic anomalies, meteorite magnetism) but also in archaeometry and paleoenvironment (dating, geophysical field imaging), which leads her to collaborate with other teams at CEREGE
The platform's collaborations are also at the level of theOSU Pythéas (with theIMBE), at national level (Savoie-Mont Blanc University, University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour...) and international (MIT, NASAUniversity).
It has a complete range of geophysical measurement instruments from thin sections (magneto-optics, etc.) to field measurements (ERT, magnetism) and laboratory geophysics (magnetometry, physical petroleum, etc.). It also manages the preparation of samples (thin sections, pads, cuts and induration) within a fully equipped module.
